Information Security Analyst

Description:
Essential FunctionsCreates new or revised processes, recommendations and reports. Utilizes industry of business-specific knowledge to create deliverables. Follows a general methodology in completing work.Performs analysis of information delivery and software diagnostic projects to include needs assessment, development of objectives, plan, alternatives, costs, benefits and recommendations. Selects appropriate media, software tools and most efficient information structure for each project.Develops information delivery solutions to include web page and form design, database design, software tool documentation, disaster recovery efforts and works with technical teams to develop expertise in software application automation and web site/forms coding in a scripting programming language.Designs and develops technical documentation to include problem descriptions and diagnostic procedures. Produces information that is technically and grammatically accurate and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.Job SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor s degree in Business, Communications, Information Systems or equivalent experienceThree years analytical experience in a team environmentThree years experience in a technical support service role in a large organizationWritten communications skills to present technical or business information to both technical and non-technical audiencesAdvanced presentation skills to present analytical results, conclusions andrecommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent interpersonal skills to foster cooperation among business partnersAbility to articulate business and systems requirements to management, experts and vendors from outside the department/divisionSkill to apply advanced features and formats of reporting languages and data base toolsKnowledge of project planning methodologiesProficiency in most, and expertise in one or more of the following areas: specific business area expertise, graphical user interface design, web page design and development, Microsoft software including MS Access and Crystal ReportsWorking knowledge of networking infrastructure, client/server architecture, communication protocols, and procedural/ programming languages.Proven analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
