Description:
Provides Manufacturing Engineering support for ASW/EW and/or Ground Based Radar.

•Oversee and manage complete packaging development process,

•Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.

•Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging.

•Establish standards and guidelines for supplier evaluation. Evaluate and select packaging suppliers/vendors; periodically conduct vendor reviews.

•Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

•Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing.
Supporting Kitting initiative - material presentation for the factory .Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory. Able to understand and utilize management reports and plans to conduct business.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:

Ability to read and interpret drawings, parts lists, and military specifications. Experience with mechanical/electrical assembly. Ability to create manufacturing planning/processes from generalized assembly drawings. Demonstrated capability to multitask in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives.

Desired:

 Previous experience with acoustic sensor systems, cable and/or cabinet assembly / manufacture. Lean or Six Sigma black belt or equivalent.

 Change management experience, including initiating documentation changes and interpreting change management as it applies to work in process.
 Solder training/certification to IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent. 3D solid modeling (ProE or SolidWorks) and/or AutoCad competency.
 Ability to create and work to detailed, task-oriented schedules.
 Working knowledge of SAP.
 Exposure to additive manufacturing or 3D printing technologies.
 Familiarity with electrical, fiber optic, RF test equipment and protocols.
 Solid trouble-shooting methodology to reduce downtime.
