Aerospace Electrical Wire Design Engineer

Description:
Our client is an aerospace flight test, engineering and certification organization that provides development services to aircraft modifiers and OEM’s. Their core team is comprised of very talented and experienced aerospace engineers, technicians, mechanics, and specialist consultants. We are seeking an Electrical Wire Designer to join our team in Seattle, WA.

The qualified individual will have a broad Electrical Design background and possess leadership and technical experience in the aerospace industry, with an emphasis on safety. This candidate also must have experience providing clear direction, prioritizing tasks and communicating effectively with a diverse group of people.

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Wire Designer to assist in the flight test wiring modifications and certification of new avionics systems installations in 14 CRF Part 23/25 aircraft

Other essential functions include:
• Generate wiring diagrams, wiring routing schematics, component installation drawings and other type design data required to support projects
• Assist installation technicians in troubleshooting installation wiring interconnects
• Assist in preparation and verification of new installation documentation
• Assist in generation of certification ground and bench tests plans
• Assist in creation of certification test reports and other compliance data for submissions to the FAA

Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university or above equivalent experience. Other requirements include:
• Detailed working knowledge of aircraft wiring diagrams, wiring routing drawings and the content required on those drawings for FAA certification
• Demonstrated solid understanding of commercial avionics interface standards and their installation
• Must possess proficiency in CATIA and Microsoft Office products
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
