CREO CAD Designer

Description:
Seeking 2 Creo CAD Designer III located in Canoga Park, CA


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and support mechanical design activities for rocket turbomachinery components and assemblies from concept through final detailed design.
This position requires the development of design concepts, 3D models, and support the development of detailed drawings for the manufacture of parts.
Activity requires key interactions with component analysis, manufacturing, project engineering, quality and customer support groups.
Develop design layouts, engineering drawings, GD&T application, tolerance analysis, systems design and integration, fabrication process identification, and synthesis of higher level requirements to component level requirements.
Applicant must have prior turbomachinery design or development experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Proficient experience using CREO 2.0 CAD System Experienced user of Windchill PLM System or similar Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Excellent experience in the creation of mechanical engineering drawings
9+ Years of related Aerospace Industry experience

Must be an experienced and proficient Creo 2.0 CAD designer. Position requires experience and profecient use of Windchill PLM System.
Advanced surfacing and modeling skills preferred.
Strong working level knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M.
Ability to create mechanical engineering drawings, and related specifications.
Ability to write clearly and concisely.
Understanding of appropriate codes, regulations and specifications as well as applicable customer requirements.
Knowledge of design practices, manufacturing techniques and inspection requirements.
May require the use of various computer systems to produce data, analysis and reports.

Creo design experience is required

GD&T experience is required (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5)

PLM system experience is required. Windchill strongly preferred

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
9+ years of rocket propulsion design experience preferred.

WORK HOURS:
Regular 40 hour week. OT possible.
