Quality Engineer Advisor

Description:
A Quality Engineer Advisor job is currently available through Belcan in the domestic U.S. his job is a remote position that will travel and deploy to customers within manufacturing and supply chain environment for the duration of the project. As critical project issues and needs for crisis intervention arise, this job will deploy to these customers. This job is a flexible, subcontract LLC or 1099 status. Great matching candidates will have strong experiences to ensure the quality system, manufacturing, inspection and test processes, and product characteristics comply with both customer requirements and governmental regulations. In this job, you will be on site at customers and/or customer suppliers working to assess, mitigate, consult, identify, and administer outcomes.
 
Quality Engineer Advisor job duties:
· Deploy as needed and support onsite at client facility.
· Manage, coordinate, and work hands on providing input within the foundry, tool shop, and machining department into new product developments.
· Provide feedback on quality issues and facilitate nonconforming material and corrective action activities.
· Create quality plans for product qualification (PPAP and FMEA) as well as validate production processes.
· Support NPI (New product introduction) quality planning (Work Instructions and Procedure development).
· Attend daily stand up, RCCA, scrap and continuous improvement meetings.
· Review and implement specifications as directed by customer.
· Support review and approval of incoming and outgoing purchase orders.
· Support, monitor, and control internal and external customer requests for corrective action.
· Support customer audits when required.
· Support Returned Goods Authorization (RGA's) activities.
· Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by customer.
 
Qualifications:
· Experienced as a Quality specialist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within manufacturing and supply chain.
· Experience working hands-on within a shop floor
· Capable of operating onsite alone or in a team to professionally represent Belcan to support multiple parties' interests (Customer/Supplier).
· Ability to operate with speed and precision.
· Ability to travel as needed and deploy rapidly in short notice to begin work due to assessment, supply chain disruptions, and project improvement initiatives.
· Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, Process Flow, Work Instructions, etc.
· Experience with Root Cause Action and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Corrective Action Summaries/ Reporting, leading CI recommendations, etc.
· Background working with Automotive/Aerospace/Industrial OEMs and suppliers as they relate to production, foundry, casting, tooling, machine operations, scrap, etc.
· Demonstrated capability to accurately assess quality deficiencies in manufacturing processes, and possesses the technical know-how to troubleshoot and solve.
Legal authorization to work in the US required.
