Engineer II

Description:
Required:CATIA V5 experience required with specific knowledge of GD&T and the application of the FTA tool. Aerospace experience preferred. SmarTeam experience preferred

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
1) Develops solutions to a variety of moderate complexity or unusual engineering or technical problems or assignments requiring judgment and ingenuity to work within current engineering protocols to design, develop and analyze aircraft structures, power plant component parts, mechanical and electrical systems and subsystems for commercial, military, executive, general aviation, or special purpose applications on operational aircraft.
2) Analyzes and interprets engineering proposals to develop design for products.
3) Reviews project documentation and proposed product specifications to determine design approaches.
4) Confers with Project Management to clarify or resolve problems.
5) Designs and develops structural, power plant and other operational and structural components that are used in operating aircraft. This includes producing or assisting in the production of computer aided drawings and engineering reports. 6) Designs and develops analytical programs concerned with ground or flight testing, or development of acoustic, thermodynamic, or propulsion systems.
7) Tests models, prototypes, subassemblies, or production items to study and evaluate operational characteristics and effects of stress imposed during actual or simulated operational conditions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: ENGINEER II Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. Technical Bachelor level degree in Engineering or the sciences or equivalent and three (3) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
