STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Electrical Systems DER for open positions in Melbourne, Florida.

Job Summary:

Follow schedule, milestones and priorities defined by client, taking into account the target dates defined by client. To ensure proper coordination with the suppliers in order to obtain their technical support including analyses, test plans and the necessary support. To provide routine briefings to client E3 Group Team Leaders. Obtain concurrence concerning proposed changes to reports, major changes in testing, modelling and analyses that could affect the overall certification plan.

Job Duties:

• Assure completion of overall workplan of the pre-determined activities for HIRF and Lightning systems laboratory tests.
• To produce Test Proposals for integrated systems based on SAE ARP5583A, SAE ARP5415A, and on client and client suppliers inputs.
• To analyze HIRF and Lightning Test Procedures of client Suppliers and to coordinate changes with referred Suppliers for compliance with Authorities requirements, with client concurrence.
• To witness tests on behalf of client at suppliers facilities or defined Laboratory in the U.S.
• To produce daily report and weekly conference calls during the tests to inform completion of milestones.
• To analyze HIRF and Lightning Test Results of client Suppliers and to coordinate changes with referred Suppliers for compliance with Authorities requirements, with client concurrence.
• To produce Test Results report for referred tests to submit to Brazilian Authority.
• Assure completion of overall workplan of the pre-determined activities for Lightning Damage laboratory tests on structures.
• To produce Test Proposals based on SAE ARP5416A, and on client and client suppliers inputs.
• To analyze Test Procedures of client suppliers and to coordinate changes with referred Suppliers for compliance with Authorities requirements, with client concurrence.
• To witness tests in behalf of client at Suppliers facilities or defined Laboratory in the U.S.
• To produce daily report and periodic conference calls during the tests to inform completion of milestones.
• To analyze Lightning Damage Test Results of client Suppliers / Laboratory and to coordinate changes with referred Suppliers for compliance with Authorities requirements, with client concurrence.
• To produce Test Results report for referred tests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5 years aviation related experience with Environmental Electromagnetic Effects (E3).
• Must be cognizant and familiar of the aviation E3 related regulations, industry practices and their background.
• Familiarity with DO160 test methods, especially Section 20, 21, 22 and 23 test methods and Aircraft systems knowledge.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards related to HIRF / Lightning, such as: FAA AC 20-53, 20-136B, 20-158A.
• Familiarity with standards SAE ARP5583A, SAE ARP5415A, SAE ARP5416A ,SAE ARP5577.
• FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) in any of the following: Electrical Systems and Equipment Part 25 A7, B7, C7, D7, E7, F7, G7, H7
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, to work with client EMC Engineers and client Systems Suppliers.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Needs the ability to develop, plan and implement short and long term goal.
• Must have a Part 25 delegation
• Must have 'line 7' delegation, but in any authorized area.

Schedule:

You will work a 9/80 schedule; meaning you will work Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, and 8 hours every other Friday.
