Project Engineer - Aircraft Interiors (Stress)

Description:
Were are seeking a Project Engineer with aircraft interior experience to fill an opening for a company here in Renton, WA. Interested candidates should have 10 plus years of engineering experience in an assigned function and 5 plus years of program management experience.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer

Act as the engineering integrator for the development, test and certification for the following systems: water and waste, oxygen, interior lighting, flight deck, cabin management, and power supply systems.
Develop and maintain schedules with proper resources allocation.
Manage weekly updates from Stress Team, reporting any delays, issues or milestones changes.
Develop the Interior Stress Team budget & resource plans within the schedule.
Manage and report any schedule conflicts to Stress Team Lead.
Identify and mitigate risk.
Escalate issues/problems/concerns immediately.
Improve tools and processes for improved effectiveness/continual improvement.

Requirements of the Project Engineer

Education: BSME, BSEE or BSAE.
10 plus years of engineering experience in an assigned function, including development programs in the domain.
5 plus Years previous experience in a Program Management team.
Strong knowledge of global certification requirements and compliance standards.
Significant experience resolving cross-functional engineering schedule issues.
Firm understanding of engineering program steps from beginning to completion.
