Continued Airworthiness Group Lead

Description:
We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader with certification experience to fill an opening with a company in Nagoya, Japan. Interested candidates should have 10 plus years of airworthiness or certification experience as well as prior management experience.

Responsibilities of the Continued Airworthiness Group Leader
Develop and manage the group in support of all airworthiness policies including the creation and negotiation of all Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
Manage the development and execution of any training required to establish the needed level of competence to ensure airworthiness.
Interface with customer services in the development of policy for continued operational safety processes and certification procedures for design change including service bulletins and risk assessments.
Ensure proper execution of a continuous operational safety program in accordance with FAR 21.3 and JCAB Circular 1-003 Section 8.
Promote a strong relationships with JCAB and FCAA personnel.
Ensure completion of compliance activities and regulatory interface and provide feedback on process improvement.
Establish and manage the necessary KPI to drive team performance.

Requirements of the Continued Airworthiness Group Leader

10 plus years of experience in certification and/or airworthiness related work.
Strong knowledge of continued operational safety and the aircraft certification processes with one or more major regulators or OEMs.
Prior management experience including hiring and budget management.
Fluent in English, Japanese language proficiency is not required, but is beneficial.
Ability to clearly explain policy in front of company management and government officials.
