CMM Programmer

Job Description:

Able to schedule and maintain pre-production technical information (CMM and Leica Programs), scheduling and direct inspection of aerospace hardware, and maintaining calibration of equipment and tooling as necessary to support standard business operation. Excellent proficiency with GD&T requirements of ASME Y14.5 and associated inspection methods using computer aided measuring systems as well as hand inspection to GD&T.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain planning and inspection schedules, activities and performance, including scheduling recall and calibration requirements for production area tooling and machinery;
Effectively communicate with management and shop personnel to optimize production and troubleshoot machinery and production processes when needed;
Work with team to meet the manufacturing deadlines;
Maintain an organized and clean work environment;
Writing CMM programs, Inspection reports, and other technical inspection and inspection preparation in support of production needs
Perform a variety of inspection operations using CMM or Leica Laser Tracker to include production parts, tooling, and facilities’ machinery where necessary;
Maintain a working knowledge of quality standards, part inspection, and preservation methods, and lean forward into new technologies and inspection methods;
Schedule necessary engineering drafting / sketching as is required to support production, and assisting with creation of sketching where production schedule requires;
(Not mandatory) Ten years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, inspection, and model based digital inspection and metrology using CMM and/or Tracker
Proficient in model based software: CATIA, PolyWorks, CMM Manager (A MUST), PC-DMIS
Expert understanding of GD&T, CAD based programming, Report generation and blueprint reading skills/
Excellent troubleshooting skills, root cause analysis techniques
Excellent communications skills in a leadership capacity, managing and working well with others.
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills, highly capable in Microsoft Office
Basic math skills and high attention to detail.
