Quality Engineer Tooling Inspectors - Pinellas Park, FL

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Quality Engineer Tooling Inspectors for open positions in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Job Duties:

• Use locating points, dimensions in several planes, irregular contours requiring spring back and dimensional calculations, multiple acting principles and computation of compound angles
• Assemble and use tooling data received from tooling, engineering and other departments concerned
• Set up tooling on surface plate or table, angle plate, sine plate, or other base in a position suitable for taking precision measurements
• Specialize in one of the following tool inspection fields and have a working knowledge of the others
• Major assembly and/or machine tool jigs, fixtures, and tooling masters; hydro-press and stretch dies; punch press and power brake dies; plaster patterns and master models; templates and master layouts
• Inspect production tooling completely; i.e., all types of production tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, templates and master layouts for dimensions, workmanship, adherence to tool design, manufacturing plans, engineering prints, shop practice and procedures, inspection standards, practicability, and coordination with associated tooling and parts and recommend any necessary corrections

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand the calculations used in assigned areas and ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and technical data is required
• Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data/3D models
• Experience with one or more of the following is required: AutoCad, Solidworks and CATIA
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees, work in teams or independently and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisory staff
• Proficient in MS Office is required
• Knowledge of AS9100 Standard, Lean Mfg/Six Sigma is required
• Must be a Self-Starter with a Can Do attitude
