Inventory Control Clerks - Vandenberg AFB, CA

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is hiring Inventory Control Clerks in Vandenberg AFB, California.

Job Function:

Receive, store, and issue standard hardware, raw material, purchase parts, machined details, and assemblies to support manufacturing operations and other areas as required. Take direction from inventory control lead.

Job Duties:

• Maintain inventory and issue flight hardware to the Vehicle Integration team through the use of our Enterprise Resource Planning software
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork
• Check for damage and confirm correct part numbers, quantities and revisions
• Coordinate flight inventory transfers between sites
• Affix verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuing
• Monitor flight inventory of depleted items and purge defective or unusable items
• Help other disciplines in the Logistics department when needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a team-oriented self-started who thrives under pressure
• Must have at least 2 years’ of professional experience in inventory control
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving record

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered
• Experience working with suppliers and developing supplier relationships
• Strong understanding of shelf-life storage and proper rotation of stock
• Be able to operate a fork lift
• Windows Operating Systems, Intermediate
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Intermediate

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must pass Vandenberg Air Force background check
• Overtime is expected when necessitated by launch schedule
