Quality Engineer / Visual Inspection

Description:
*This is a 1 year, full time, contract position located in Jacksonville, FL*

We are looking for a quality engineer who will be creating, maintaining and developing quality tests, procedures and standards for our manufactured production line. The applicant will be working on processes that affect our aerospace/military products including instrumentation, robotics, mechanical systems, machining tools, etc. Candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, and planning proper methodologies to ensure quality production including inspection, testing, and evaluating accuracy and precision of products (actual vs specification analysis) related to the production line.

Daily duties may include creating and managing the controls, prepare the quality plan, auditing, creating documentation, participate in CCB to ensure designs match client requirements, documentation of ensure supplier s products meet the subcontracted quality requirements, as well as monitoring and reporting as per the established metrics.

Ultimately, the candidate will be ensuring that our quality systems are implemented to meet Government contract specifications.

Required:
*2 years’ experience performing quality engineering /quality assurance in and around manufacturing production lines.
*Strong Visual Inspection experience

*Current Active Interim or Secret Clearance; US Citizens only please
*Able to use statistical and modeling techniques/tools; program planning and execution tools
*Experience with some combination of first article and in process inspection, disposition of non-conforming material, reviewing of test data, corrective action, conducting audits, six-sigma
*4 year degree a must

Pluses:
*System auditing to ISO 9000 or AS9100
*Ability to read/interpret Mil-Specs
