Continuous Improvement Engineer/Analyst

Description:
*This is a full time, 6-9 month contract position, located in York, PA*

We are hiring for a Continuous Improvement Specialist who will be planning, training, working with staff to introduce a culture of continuous improvement. The goal is to improve overall quality, less defects while reducing waste, revisit processes searching for improvement and simplification, improving production times and manufacturing floor flow.

Day to day duties may include maintaining the quality management system including investigating Corrective Action items/events, working on root causes, develop process improvements for sustained process control, ensure maintenance of factory quality, cost and delivery metric goals, implementing corrective actions, statistically analyze metrics that ultimately help lead to better systems and higher quality and cost outcomes.

Required:
*4+ years’ experience in a large firm continuous improvement role including working on investigation teams conducting event change causal analysis
*Strong root cause info gathering and solution resolution; risk mitigation and resolution.
*Have Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
*Experience leading and closing out Continuous Improvement DMAIC Projects
*SPC and Lean Manufacturing experience
*BS in Engineering

Pluses:
*ASQ CQE certification
*Experience with RCA software (REASON or Taproot)
*Familiar with Minitab metrics and data analysis
