Job Description:
This position will require a familiarity with many facets of national space capabilities. Understanding of basic space operations with desired experience in controlling of satellites. Familiar with constellations used by DOD and process for support request. Familiar with commercial satellite services. Knowledge of spectrum deconfliction requirements for utilizing satellites.

Basic Qualifications:
Have knowledge of DOD satellite health. Ability to leverage satellite services. Have a working knowledge of assisting with Space request for information processes. Conducts mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites. Provides technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support. Provides failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements. Analyzes and validates software performance. Performs flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

Level: Level 3: BS+6-10 YRS or MS+4-8 YRS
Pay Rate: $23.32 - $38.85 Hourly
