Export/Import Licensing, Control & compliance Analyst

Chipton Ross is seeking a Export/Import Licensing, Control & Compliance Analyst for an opening in Arlington, TX.

Analyzes international business activities and provides guidance and assistance to promote compliance with export and import license laws and regulations. Prepares and tracks export license applications, amendments, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs), including all required supporting documentation. Continuously monitors export and import activities and identifies areas requiring corrective action. Plans and implements export license corrective actions in coordination with senior management and the Law Department. Develops training materials and provides training to diverse organizations. Performs related work as required.

Provides export and import licensing support as a subject matter expert and is responsible for: o Maintains on-going communication with site and subsidiary business functions to assist with license requirement planning and to address daily operations or questions
o Prepares, coordinates approvals, and submits license applications, amendments, TAAs and MLAs and supporting documents to the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Commerce, or U.S. Treasury Department using U.S. Government automated systems (e.g., D-Trade, SNAP-R) or other authorized methods
o Maintains export licensing databases within the Global Trade Services (GTS) module of SAP relating to classification of commodities, software and technologies; licenses; license expiration dates; and other required reporting functions
o Prepares and submits required reports to the Government
o Uses an automated watch list, validating that foreign persons and companies are authorized to engage in export activities and informing management of any limitations that may impact proposed business activities
o Reviews and authorizes foreign visits to facilities and access to computer systems; develops compliance plans for visitor control and monitors compliance
o Maintains documentation and record keeping systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
o Implements policies and procedures pertaining to the use of license exemptions or exceptions
o Develops, plans and delivers export licensing training
o Monitors export and import activities to identify areas where additional training or management attention may be required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and Six (6) years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
o Six years of experience working with U.S. Government export control laws, regulations and policies, specifically ITAR and EAR. Familiarity with OFAC and Customs regulations a plus
o Bachelor's degree with a focus on Engineering, International Business, or Pre-Law preferred
o Experience in researching, interpreting and applying complex government regulations to Company business processes and activities
o SAP and Global Trade Services (GTS) Module experience preferred o Experience reading and understanding technical documents and supporting data preferred
