Description: PDS Tech is seeking a candidate for the eDiscovery Analyst position located in Merrifield, VA. This position will be supporting the USPS Corporate Security Information Catalog Program (ICP) which serves as the eDiscovery unit for the USPS and supports the USPS General Counsel, Office of the Inspector General, Postal Inspection Service, FOIA Office and other entities through the retrieval, preservation, and delivery of pertinent electronically stored information to support litigations, audits and compliance. Basic Qualifications:
Duties include, but not limited to the following: - Interact directly with USPS General Counsel, Office of the Inspector General, Postal Inspection Service, FOIA Office and other customers to solicit and documents relevant information requirements for to yield the best results for a request/case. - Develop appropriate methodologies (based on unique requirements of each individual case) to collect pertinent metadata from the varied data sources (internal Postal systems, external internet searches, etc)to fulfill approved requirements.- - Become proficient with USPS ICP Litigation Hold Log System and log cases) to log and track case manifest and support customized monthly reporting. - Provide electronic information (emails, internet usage, data and telephone records) by using USPS archiving systems and retrieving information from the USPS Data centers when requested by the USPS Attorneys, Office of Inspection General, Inspection Service and PCES Manager. - Use own discretion to evaluate and analyze collection of data (the size and scale of this collection is determined by the identification phase) from disparate data sources against the base requirements to provide complete investigation results to requestor for the case to ensure results match the requirements. - Use best practices and lessons learned to cull data and categorize by type, volume, and location while maintaining complete chain of custody through completion of case. - Support development and maintenance of documented practices to ensure repeatable, quality execution of discovery and analysis as new members join team - Assume full responsibility for every phase of the assignment through case completion. - Proficiency with MS Excel and Word required - Solid communication skills - Bachelor’s degree diploma with 2 or more years of relevant experience. Prior legal or para-legal experience as well as legal studies would be considered over other experience. Current USPS Clearance.
