Description: This position assists in maintaining the company's local area networks. Installs and maintains personal computers and related peripheral equipment and application software. Provides user training and personal computer application software support, and assists in maintaining the company's Information Technology. This position also performs hands-on involvement in daily activities. This is a temporary position that may require in excess of a 25-hour week in order to effectively carry out the listed job duties.
Installs and maintains personal computers and related peripheral equipment for all PC users in the company.
Installs and maintains personal computer operating systems and application software.
Responsible for support call tracking and reporting.
Provides preventative maintenance and other network-related functions, as needed. Also maintains other equipment such as phones, cell phones, fax and copy machines, etc.
High school graduate pursuing Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in business with a specialization in computer science, or pursing a Microsoft Certification through an accredited training facility. Specific experience with Microsoft Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office products preferred. Must be able to detect and diagnose hardware and software problems in a timely manner. This position will work independently and as part of a team. Position requires strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally and effectively with diverse population (in person, and in writing and electronic correspondence).
