Quality Engineer with Security Clearance

Description:
Morson International is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for one of our clients in the aerospace sector. The selected candidate will require to hold active security clearance.

The QE (Quality Engineer) is to monitor, review and improve the performance of the existing QMS and assist in the introduction of pro-active systems, using appropriate Quality tools and techniques that will ensure compliance per the customer specifications and prevent quality failures and to support Customer interface activities, providing appropriate levels of Quality inputs to ensure a clear understanding of Customer requirements is available to all areas of the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations.

· Responsible for reviewing customer requirements, adhering to customer specifications and inspect ability of product.

· Manage the Non Conformance process, and prepare quality records and reports.

· Perform customer quality interface and present product for sell to customer.

· Raising Quality related requisitions.

· Responsible for all formats of internal audits.

· Quality procedure writing.

· Facilitating Customer / Third Party audit visits and arising actions/ responses.

· Supporting first article activities and assessment of completed packs for approval.

· Supporting final inspection activities.

· Supporting QPD (Quality Policy Deployment) activities.

· Supporting Engineering activities and customer meetings.

· Ensure that working practices in relation to Health, Safety and Housekeeping are adhered to and that all potential hazards and/or unsafe working practices are reported.

· Perform other such duties which generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

· Participate in Continuous improvement initiatives and provide ideas as appropriate.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

· Internal – Regularly interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and all Manufacturing functions.

· External – Regularly interact with all levels of customers and prospects.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferred manufacturing or Mechanical.

EXPERIENCE

· Must be a U.S Citizen and not hold multiple citizenships.

· Must possess Secret Security Clearance and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

· Five - seven years’ experience desired in managing a certified quality management system.

· Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.

· Previous audit and aerospace industry preferred.

· Customer quality assurance experience preferred.
