Sr Mechanical Engineer

Sr Mechanical Engineer
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Sterling Heights, MI

• Develop sub-system/component level requirements and design concepts.
• Design, select, integrate components.
• Source select and interface with suppliers.
• Perform engineering analysis to evaluate sub-system/component designs.
• Work with design services to create/release detailed models and drawings.
• Support concurrent engineering, procurement and prototype build/integration activities.
• Work in an Integrated Product Team environment;
• Perform failure analysis
• Troubleshoot vehicle subsystems
• Write technical reports & modification instructions

• Mechanical Engineer with experience designing/developing powertrain & suspension systems.
• Must be able to work in office, shop, test lab and test site environments
• Must be able to work overtime if required
• Able to interact with designers to integrate systems into the hull.
• Self-starter, highly motivated
• Perform preliminary design and analysis
• Able to communicate across functional organizations
• Able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutions
• Pro Engineering (Pro E) and or Unigraphics NX
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required
• FEA experience is a plus.
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of applicable experience fewer years with an advanced degree
