Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler 2 (Solderer) temp located in Hawthorne
RESPONSIBILITIES: O Will solder and inspect to IPC J-STD-001, Class 1,2,3 and Space levels O Perform adjustment and test of Coax Switches/Relays O Will work with a microscope, soldering equipment and a variety of hand tools O Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks O Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: o 2 years, minimum experience performing soldering and inspection to IPC J-STD-001 - preference to an individual holding current certification o Must have excellent eye-hand coordination, good dexterity to assemble small parts o Ability to work with indicated equipment such as tweezers and test equipment o Must be able to work with a microscope. o Have the ability to communicate with others in the department. o Complete corresponding paperwork (test and evaluation results). o Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form o Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations o PHYSICAL DEMAND: will occasionally be required to stand/walk, hear or talk for instruction or feedback, to lift and carry up to 10 lbs; will be require to continuously sit, to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms o VISION REQUIREMENTS: Specific for this position include (distant vision) Far Vision Snellen 20/50; (close vision) Near Vision: Jaeger 1 at 355.6 mm (14 inches) or reduced Snellen 20/20, or equivalent; and Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish red, green, blue, and yellow colors) as prescribed in Dvorine Charts, Ishihara Plates, or AO-HRR Tests. WORK ENVIRONMENT: will occasionally be in contact or work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to vapors, fumes or airborne particles (safely below standards). Noise level is moderate.
EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma/GED. Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
