Be part of the Client R,M&S team, for the Client aircraft, and the primary tasks are to conduct aircraft safety and/or system safety activities, and to support all design activities.
Be responsible for RM&S deliverables specific to the assigned systems.
Participate in the, system functional hazard analysis, aircraft and system fault tree analysis, system safety assessment, failure mode and effect analysis and the final R,M&S certification report.
The duties will also require certification activities. This will involve co-ordination of technical issues and resolutions across all Client, Partner/Supplier, Regulatory and Customer parties.
University graduate in electrical/mechanical engineering with at least 15 years R,M&S experience.
Have a strong electro-mechanical background and has an excellent understanding of aircraft performance characteristics, aircraft systems definition, integration, interfaces, component qualification, reliability and safety requirements and certification process of flight controls systems.
Preferably have been directly involved in the aircraft definition and certification.
Must be very cognizant of the relevant Airworthiness Regulations and certification process.
Have the ability to communicate sound technical proposals and work status to senior management, be a team player, a self-motivated person and be able to work under pressure.
Possess a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
Have good oral and technical writing skills in English are required (French is an asset).
Possess basic knowledge of MS Office.
Knowledge of creating Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Safety Analysis is required.
Aircraft Level System Safety, preferably in Hydro-Mechanical but could also be Electrical Avionics.
Must have Aircraft Level Knowledge of the following:
In-depth aircraft level understanding FMEA - Failure mode and effects analysis
FTA - Fault Tree Analysis, CMA - Common Mode Assessment
CCMR Process - Candidate Certification Maintenance requirement
ARP4761 Safety process
Must be proficient with Excel
MS Access database development would be asset
Microsoft Office Suite
CATIA would be an asset
