Wire Harness Design Engineer CATIA W/ Secret Clearance

Description:
*This is a full time, 6 month or more contract, located in Lexington, KY*

We are hiring for a CATIA wire harness design engineer, Candidates will be designing and testing electrical components, equipment, components and systemsfor military aviation and/or ground vehicles.installations, integrations, part modifications, and assemblies.

Daily duties will involve resolving wiring/integration related issues between the various avionics/electrical systems, validating/interpreting/troubleshooting/resolving any wiring related issues, and creates wire routing drawings. The project is for working on a team to develop aviation and/or ground vehicle wiring from design to installation.

Required:
*6 years’ experience in structural military aircraft designing/drafting using CATIA V5.

*Can create/review electrical drawing types (schematics, cable harness, etc).
*Experience ANSI and ASME Y14.100 or similar design/drafting standards
*Per diem split is available for those travelling for this position

*Current Active Secret Clearance [or Interim Secret Clearance]

*BSEE or similar engineering degree

Pluses:
*Familiar with military fixed wing aircraft, such as the C130, or any rotary aircraft.

*Familiarity with SAE AS50881 design guidelines and perform basic electrical analysis (loads analysis, RF analysis, worst case circuit analysis, wire sizing);

*Experience with SAE AS508

*Experience with ECO (engineering change orders); IPT teaming experience
*Knowledge of Teamcenter PLM software
