Applications Software Engineer



The Applications Software Engineer will design and test software applications used for process improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This work will expand upon existing frameworks and will span critical design, development, and debugging of software platforms.

Salary up to 95K

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining and documenting requirements and interfaces for custom software
  • Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and refining software platforms to meet program requirements
  • Supporting engineers and the shop during rollout of the applications
  • Documenting design issues and working with the engineering team to resolve them


  • Proficiency in software development
  • Strong experience with multiple programming languages including: Python, C++, Visual Basic, etc.
  • Strong experience with SQL, web frameworks, GUI frameworks, REST, and network protocols
  • Strong experience with object-oriented software development and software configuration control processes
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong team player
  • Strong knowledge
  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution or substantial equivalent experience
  • A minimum of two years of directly related work experience
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship and active DOD Secret Clearance


  • Experience with composites
  • Rapid prototyping experience
  • Aircraft homebuilding experience
  • Pilot’s License
  • Additional degrees or relevant work experience

Essential job functions:

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Manual dexterity and coordination are required (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
  • Requires mobility (e.g., climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl)
  • Requires the ability to bend and reach
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus
