Quality Engineer II ( Linthicum MD ) 10167058 - Top Secret Required
10 Month Contract

Pay rate: Open

!!!! MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS CLEARANCE !!!!
On a national security space program (TS-clearance is required!):
1. Perform in-process and final inspections in the Integration and Test work center, and perform data package reviews when needed.
2. Generate and review nonconformance reports for accuracy and detail
3. Participate in PMRB activities and provide input relative to disposition of materials.
4. Assist in developing Root Cause / Corrective Action plans through detailed analysis of nonconformance reports
5. Perform configuration audits to reconcile as-built vs as-designed. Ensure constraints or discrepancies are identified and driven to closure prior to tollgate / milestone activities.
6. Attend readiness reviews as the product assurance lead and provide inputs as required

Prerequisites:
1. Active TS clearance
2. College degree from accredited 4-year institution or 2-year associates degree with plan for completing 4-year bachelor's degree
3. Minimum 10 years experience in either Electrical or Mechanical / Electro-mechanical field of work performing Engineering job function
4. Fluent in use of Microsoft applications and ability to quickly learn new computer programs/applications.
5. Excellent technical writing skills is mandatory.
6. Assignment is at NG factory in Baltimore - willingness to travel to Baltimore daily, or live in that area for 6-9 months.

Desirables:
1. Working knowledge of TipQA and/or Costpoint database applications
2. Knowledge in how to read schematics and wirelists
3. Willingness to travel (though not often) in support of spacecraft level activities.
4. Specific Lean or Six Sigma training from accredited institution.
