The current project position supports engineering, integration, test, and deployment activities associated with lifecycle upgrades, equipment changes, operations, and maintenance within an existing radio communication station management system that is comprised of a diverse mix of voice and data telecommunications and computer network technologies. The management system is based on a custom software application utilizing multiple databases to control and manage a variety of radio, antenna, and peripheral components using serial and Ethernet data protocols specific to those components within each radio station. The primary control network is a TCP/IP computer network utilizing commercially available IP routers and Microsoft Windows servers and workstations within a single Active Directory Domain to host the control application. Voice switching services within the system allow radio operators to fully access the radio voice functions to individually support two way voice communications with mobile and other fixed radio platforms as well as to initiate data services with those platforms as needed. The system is globally distributed transmitter, receiver, and control sites operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

-Able to contribute to clean sheet architecture designs
-Proven track record of implementing complex systems

-Ability to quickly acquire technical domain knowledge and contribute to the design/implementation of sophisticated architectural systems
-Well-disciplined in systems engineering processes and methodologies
-Strong understanding of software and hardware engineering processes and methodologies
-Ability to work proactively and be self-directed, requiring limited oversight
