We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:

Structural Analysis Engineer 4
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Kennedy Space Center, FL

• Lead development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Lead development of test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
• Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
• Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
• Work under minimal direction.
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, system modeling and other analysis tools (NASTRAN, PATRAN, Common Structures Workstation and home-grown tools) throughout the product life-cycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Up to 10% travel

• Experience performing stress analysis using manual hand calculations.
• Experience with Analysis tools Nastran/Patran
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Structural, and Civil are preferred.
• Experience with Human-Rated Space-based systems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with design and analysis of high modulus composites is desired.
• Experience with Hypermesh.
• Experience with product data management tools such as EDRS (Engineering Design Release System) and
• TeamCenter Enterprise (TCE) are a plus.

*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
