Construction Supervisor/Superintendent I

Description:
Work Location: ALPINE OPERATIONS      
Start/End Dates: 12/2/2019 - 12/1/2020               
Assignment Scope: This position will be based in the North Slope area.  The job site can be on a temporary ice pad or in a remote village.  Ideal candidate should have heavy civil construction experience.  knowledge/experience needed in North Slope bridges, pile install, concrete panel, sheet panel, gravel, and ice.

Key Accountabilities
• Focuses on the daily oversight of all assigned projects.
• Must ensure quality and cost standards are met within assigned timeframes and completed efficiently, effectively, and in an ethical manner.
• Participates in pre-construction planning, including project scope, site assessments, site layout, and project details.
• Maintains continuous communication throughout projects related to progress, issues, and solutions.
• Responsible to have appropriate materials at project site in a timely fashion to meet project deadlines.
• Receives and verifies material shipment quantity and integrity.
• Communicates and/or resolves shipping schedules/conflicts with vendors or operations manager.
• Submits required project reports in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
• Completes purchase orders, inventory documents, and time sheets to specified detail daily and weekly.
• Performs and completes final inspection documentation.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience • Typically 3-7 years of experience.
•Experience in civil construction
• Manages daily activities of business, technical support or production team.
• Able to resolve standard/non-standard problems.
• Decisions are based on practice and precedent.
• Extreme focus on safety of all workers, strong Safety Leadership skills 
• Ability to successfully lead in a challenging, short time-frame construction window in arctic environment           
• Teamwork and cooperative approach to work
• Standard Project Management, Construction Management and reporting tools
