Calibration Laboratory Manager

Description:
A Calibration Laboratory Manager job in Grand Prairie, TX is currently available through Belcan with one of our Calibration clients. You will be responsible for supervising multiple staff members in the calibration of metrology which includes Electronic Calibration, Dimensional Calibration and Accredited Calibration. During planning, organizing, and conducting projects you will be involved with daily, weekly and monthly scheduling of laboratory work assignments. To be considered for this role, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred and at least 5 years' of relevant experience. This is a great opportunity with a growing company.

Calibration Laboratory Manager Job duties:

* Daily, weekly and monthly scheduling of laboratory work assignments
* Communicating & coordinating to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
* Managing laboratory standards
* Working with & coordinating with internal resources
* Insuring adherence to standard laboratory practices
* Training and goal planning for direct reports
* Enforcement of all quality standards and guidelines
* Resolve metrology related problems with the technical team members
* Collect, process and review calibration data
* Implement the proper use of systems and database

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and at least 5+ years' experience in at least one of the following technical fields: Electronic Calibration, Dimensional Calibration, Avionics overhaul or repair, Aircraft maintenance, RF Electronics, Electronic Engineering, A&P, Mechanical Engineering, Military Experience, PMEL or a related technical field.
* Monitor and manage the production and performance of the lab personnel
* Provide weekly and monthly reports for overtime, turnaround time averages, and other reports requested
* Support periodic audits, review and evaluate warranties
* Train and mentor technicians
* Understand and Follow Standard Laboratory Practices
* Executing Continuous improvement of the lab
* Managing calibration of lab standards
* Assist QA and technical teams
* Conduct performance reviews
