Administrative Assistant

PDS Tech, Inc is seeking an Administrative Assistant in High Point, NC.

Job Summary:

  • Provides clerical and logistic assistance related to the day-to-day operations of the R&D Laboratory Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Transcribes data results into spreadsheets for tracking and trending purposes
  • Manages R&D record retention program by archiving all documents according to site policies
  • Provides copies of any necessary documentation to other departments on regular basis, during audits or as requested by coworkers
  • Retrieves documents from files and re-files after documents are returned or after copies are made
  • Processes laboratory “Supply Request Forms” (provided by a laboratory supervisor, manager or analyst)
  • Files Stability Specification sheets, initiation packets, summary reports for APRs, and inventory cards
  • Scans completed stability studies into electronic files

As Needed:

  • Performs general office duties, including faxing, creating reports, memos, letters, and research files, distributing mail, and communicating needs to suppliers/vendors

  • Ability to uphold the standards of conduct of the company, which include confidentiality, cooperation, and respect for people and property
  • Ability to work as part of a Team with either internal or external disciplines
  • Ability to execute requested workload in an organized and timely manner

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in secretarial science or business or equivalent training from a technical or business school; or two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  •  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, standard operating procedures, and policy manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community

Mathematical Skills:

  •  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Reasoning Ability:

  •  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use a PC and the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

  • Ability to make decisions
