Senior Aircraft Performance Engineer - Canada.

Role:
  • Calculate, analyze and document certified and/or operational aircraft performance data, for example:
  • Performance data for the Flight Management System (FMS) and Flight Manuals.
  • Performance data to support of sales campaigns.
  • Use technical engineering test data and/or analysis to develop/revise aircraft performance models.
  • Develop, validate, maintain, and document aircraft performance software.
  • Write and review engineering reports demonstrating compliance with airworthiness regulations.
  • Plan and support wind-tunnel and flight test campaigns and validate all technical engineering outcomes.
  • Support aircraft production through review and disposition of all technical engineering non-conformances with an aerodynamic impact.
  • Contribute to the team’s efforts to continually improve processes and efficiencies.
  As an ideal candidate:
  • You possess a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical (or Mechanical) engineering as well as a minimum of 8 years of experience in the domain of aircraft performance during the development, certification and/or in-service support of aircraft.
  • You possess a working knowledge of Part 25 certification requirements.
  • You possess good interpersonal skills to work with other groups, suppliers, and management as well as good written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of French would be an asset.
  • You possess good programming skills (FORTRAN, Visual Basic, C++, C#, Perl, Python, MATLAB) and a working knowledge of the UNIX operating system environment.
  • You are a team player, self-motivated with strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • You can work independently and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals established for you and work well in a small, dynamic environment.
  • You are eligible to obtain Controlled Goods Clearance to be able to work on Missionized Aircraft Programs in support of defence programs.
