Manufacturing Engineer with Tooling

Description:
Manufacturing Engineer to support production ramp up of existing military aircraft with new design changes. Support includes providing upgrades to tooling including assembly jigs, installation tools, temporary tooling and job aides to improve efficiency and quality for aircraft build up, section assembly and final mate activities. Support integration and resolution of manufacturing issues including integrating solutions with other support functions.


'Experience with support of new aircraft development or upgrades and developing tools to support to achieve rate production.

Able to assess and coordinate corrective action for issues identified with the Build sequence, Sys. installation, Planning/Ops card sequence, & “In Process” testing requirements and provide corrective actions to resolve.

Experience in troubleshooting operations, Shortage workarounds, “Out of Station” rework, & Change Incorporation.

Familiar with other support functions (Quality, Planning, Engineering, Liaison) to integrate them for resolution of issues at build work centers and ensure processes are updated to improve efficiency and quality.

Identify, develop and/or provide training/lessons learned for touch labor, peer MEs and support functions

Quality issue coordination, MRB, rework/repairs, FAI inspection including leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities

Focus in one or more of the following areas:
Experience with manufacturing of sub-assemblies, and major aircraft level assemblies
Experience with wiring and systems installation and testing
Experience with structural installations, control linkage systems installations, panel/door installations, flight control surfaces installations
Experience with assembly tooling, production aides, & various assembly tools (handheld and fixture driven)
Experience with manufacturing planning/work instructions and hoe to improve to ensure requirements are met from engineering drawings

Experience with F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35 or C-130 and/or prior production ops experience at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics a PLUS.'

'Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering plus 8-10 years of relevant experience OR
5-10+ years in touch labor manufacturing with 5-10+years as a Manufacturing Engineer including 3-5 years of tooling design/engineering'
