PDS Tech Commercial Inc, is seeking candidates for an Integration & Test 5 position in Everett, WA
Job Title: Integration & Test 5
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Everett, WA 98204
Schedule: Monday to Friday; M-F, 7:30a-4p (no starts prior to 7a)
Design/assemble test fixtures and lead a small team of technicians and possible other engineers to execute static/abuse/cycle testing of airplane closets, galleys, lavatories and other aircraft interior monuments in a noisy, light industrial environment.
This is a hands-on job that can occasionally be physically intense. There would be an expectation to assist technicians with test setups while doing any coordinating necessary to complete testing on time.
The test engineer will be aware of all aspects of a specific program and will be a source of knowledge about what needs to be achieved in order to succeed.
Priorities are constantly changing as due dates move so the ability to adjust on the fly is crucial. Long hours and tight schedules are not unexpected.
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Capable of following/giving verbal instructions
Must be punctual, willing to work to a schedule, and capable of dealing with shifting priorities.
Be a team player; able to work independently
Be willing to occasionally work late and possibly weekends
Must be able to lift 50 lbs minimum
Steel toed boots required
Comfortable with occasional work on ladders, elevated platforms no higher than 20 and comfortable with fall protection
Willing to wear basic PPE as required(mask, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, etc)
Willing to use basic solvents like acetone; willing to handle lead shot and ingots with gloves
Experience with 3D modeling and drafting (Unigraphics (preferred), Catia, Solidworks)
Experience with designing/fabricating standard plates, bracket, etc in steel/aluminum/wood
Experience with writing programs in Labview
Experience writing Test Plans/Reports
Experience with reading/interpreting/executing test plans written by others
Experience with simple electronics for cycle test execution
Able to convey general instructions to technicians in order to achieve daily tasks
Able to communicate and work with design/stress engineers to help design test fixtures and execute tests
Ability to professionally communicate with test witnesses when on site
Experience with hydraulic, simple pneumatic and simple electrical systems
Capable of troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical issues
Comfortable working with hand and power tools (grinders, saws, impacts, drills, etc)
Experience with fabrication work (mechanical: carpentry and/or metalworking)
General Assembly of Parts
-Chop Saw/Table Saw/Band Saw
-other woodworking tools
-other metalworking tools
-Previous static/abuse/cycle testing experience (specifically aerospace)
-Experience with rigging
-Experience with bridge and gantry cranes
-Experience with using torque wrenches, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
Attention to detail, the ability to focus on the current situation, a questioning attitude (dont follow orders without evaluating personal safety, looking for basic errors, thinking about the result), some previous experience with working around customers and privileged data.
Cleaning is a REQUIREMENT for this job!
