Rate: $50.00/HR
6+ month contract
1st Shift

Job Description
- Candidate will be assigned to manufacturing engineering activities associated with the Owego Assembly Business Unit manufacturing efforts at the LM Owego Facility performing the following functions:
- Design of manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Design of arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Design of sequence of operations and specification of procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspection of performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigation and initiation of corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Coordination with program and engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
- Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases.
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
The following items MUST be clearly demonstrated on the resume or it will be rejected:
- 4-5 years experience
- 4-5 years experience designing the entire process to include:
- Previous Manufacturing support roles for circuit card assemblies.
- Circuit card assembly process experience in various disciplines including assembly, soldering processes, coating processes.
- Design of manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Process design for all assemblies from BOM to deliverable
- All the parts needed for the build. Monitor inventory and shipments to ensure steady flow of parts.
- Work instructions/Routings for all assemblies and test procedure through the entire assembly in a cohesive, logical flow meeting deliverable schedule.
- Manipulated computer logic for programs to accommodate revision changes for assemblies.
- Fabrication of equipment and tools to improve productivity and quality.

Desired:
- Previous manufacturing build experience.
- Green belt or Black Belt in Lean manufacturing principles a plus.
