Job Description:

The IT Services Engineer provides reliable IT infrastructure to the organization and helps secure the company’s IT assets.

Duties:

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot critical data processing infrastructure at corporate headquarters and branch offices: including Server Operating Systems, Storage Area Network (SAN) and Server Hardware.
• Configure and upgrade virtual environment.
• Maintain corporate Email servers.
• Manage system back-ups and ensure proper disaster preparation.
• Maintain directory services.
• Monitor and analyze device configurations to optimize performance and increase security.
• Maintain and configure virtual applications.
• Manage system security, patching and upgrades.
• Maintain up to date infrastructure diagrams and documentation.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Achieves organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field of study is preferred.
• 5+ years in IT Infrastructure design and troubleshooting.
• Certificates such as MCSE, VCP is preferred.
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Microsoft products, and VMware vSphere.
• Demonstrate ability to administer a 500+ node network.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of current server operating systems best practices.
• Ability to work nights and weekends to support the IT Infrastructure.
• Demonstrate knowledge of network equipment, and protocols.
• Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to trace issues to root cause.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
• Strong teamwork, planning and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
• Possess or is able to obtain US Passport and can travel domestically as well as internationally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
