MECHANICAL ENGINEER - SOLIDWORKS/UGNX - HYDRAULIC ACTUATORS - AEROSPACE/DEFENSE

Description:
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is searching for a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for complex product/system design of actuation systems.

Highly desired experience includes technical guidance to assure the performance of hydraulic actuation components for commercial aerospace applications.

Summary of Job Scope:

-4-8 years of related mechanical design engineering experience.
UGNX and/or SolidWorks experience is required.
-Knowledge of hydraulic and /or pneumatic systems for Aerospace -Commercial and Defense products is a plus.
-Product Lifecycle (PLC) process knowledge is a plus.
-Hands-on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience is a plus, but not required.
-Involved in all engineering aspects of several complex and detailed projects, which may include project management as well as engineering tasks.
-Solves in-depth engineering problems and communicates solutions to other engineers, sales development and management.
-Promotes and implements process improvements.
-Independently troubleshoots/analyzes system problems using complex computer modeling and simulations.
-Will interact with engineers, technicians, drafters, and/or designers on a project level basis.
-Evaluate components of a complex systems and provide solutions.
-Understanding of component functions and testing requirements, as well as the relationship to system interaction and validation.
-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings and geometric tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures and how they impact design.
-Provides necessary guidance for proper analysis, with the ability to verify the validity of analysis.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline

Duration: 18-month contract position
