Program Planner/Scheduler

Job Description
Major purpose: Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Major functions: The Program Planner/Scheduler has primary accountability for schedule performance of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the manufacture of components and assemblies for rotary wing aircraft. Duties include the below,
• Track plans and schedules; take action to correct or mitigate material resource plan (MRP) exceptions by working closely with other functional groups and the customer.
• Daily review of schedule constraints; ensure all constraints have an owner and expected resolution date; take action to resolve constraints owned by the Program Office or customer.
• Performs risk analysis and is proactive in schedule risk mitigation.
• Ensures MRP parameters are appropriate; makes changes as needed.
• Prepares regular reports for the Program Manager and customer on status of deliverables.
Technical/Functional skills:
Education/Experience/Licenses etc.: Preferred skills:
• 6-9 yrs with a BA, 4-7 yrs with MBA or relevant yrs of experience in lieu of
• Strong interpersonal skills; can demonstrate successful interaction with cross-functional teams in prior roles.
• Experience in SAP Production Planning module.
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Basic familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing operations.

Physical Requirements: Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
