Systems Integration Engineer

The Systems Integration Engineer supports the design, analysis, and development, of advanced integration facilities, and application in the testing, development and certification of highly integrated complex systems.

• Design, build, and daily support and maintenance operation of advanced hardware-in-the­loop (HIL) integration test facilities, for the development of integrated complex aircraft systems.
• Development, modification and validation of aircraft simulation models.
• Supports Systems integration, safety of flight (SOF) testing, and verification testing and automation of these tests as required.
• Provide testing support along with automation and customization for facility users as needed.
• Resolves problems from development and testing activities.
• Maintains and upgrades the facility to match the testing needs and troubleshoots and resolves issues.
• Communicates with the systems design teams & systems suppliers on technical issues as required.

Unique Skills:
• Strong computer, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge with MATLAB/Simulink®, good Python/C coding skills, familiarity with digital/analog electrical systems.
• Experience with dSpace Control/AutomationDesk or other test automation environment desired.
• Familiarity with basic lab testing equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with data busses including RS-232, RS-485, ARINC-429, and Ethernet desired.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.).
• Familiarity with SW version control and problem tracking tools (PVCS/GIT/JIRA) is desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization.
• Ability to work independently and within a team oriented environment.

• Bachelors' degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Physics, Software engineering or other related field required at a minimum.
• Previous experience including internships and co-ops in the area of automated testing, embedded systems, including coding, requirements-based test development, design, and integration.

Physical Requirements:
• Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
• Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
• Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
• Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
• Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
• Effectively communicate in Business English language.
• Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs., throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
• Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 501bs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided 'reach assistance technology' or 'movement assist technology' (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
