Training Center Ground Instructor

PDS Tech is seeking an Training Center Ground Instructor for a long term contract role in Miami, Florida.
  • Give the ground instruction for pilots using the ATR presentation.
  • Explain the operation of the ATR systems, performance, Weight and balance, CRM, Icing module, security and emergency items.
  • Explain the operation and control of the system using the FPT (Flat Platform Simulator).
  • Explain the operation and programming of FMS, RNAV and PBN navigation.
  • Evaluate the students with the written test and prepare them for the oral exam
  • Help with the documentation or creation, modification of manuals
  • Send reports of the condition of the status of the FPT to maintain it in good operational conditions
  • Give instruction about the operation of the tablet and its contents

  • ATR type rating on the FAA license (EASA License would be a plus)
  • Experience on turboprop aircrafts or ATR aircraft.
  • FAA certification with US work permit or US citizen.
  • Two years as an instructor within the last 3 years.
  • Ground Instructor/examiner experience on ATR aircraft would be a plus.
  • Valid FAA Medical certificate
  • Be able to undergo intensive training period that can last up to 3 months
  • Be willing to travel abroad for short period for training purposes.
  • Be able to write reports
  • Read and speak proficient English
  • Be flexible in work schedule
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Be able to perform public presentations.
