Modification Technician - Electrical/ Mechanical

PI Modification Technician

Industry: Rail/ Locomotive/ Transit

Position Summary:

Perform mechanical and electrical Field Modifications on trains and transit equipment.
Key Accountabilities:

Perform the Modification on the train in a quality and efficient way, using a variety of mechanical and electrical tools and machinery. Work as a viable team member for tasks that are assigned to teams. Ensure the modification is tested and is working
Review and understand Modification notices (electrical and mechanical).Read assembly drawings and Modification instructions. Plan activities to complete modifications.
Follow safety rules and regulations by being vigilant regarding environmental factors and mandated safety requirements to safety goals
Review and understand Modification notices (electrical and mechanical).Read assembly drawings and Modification instructions. Plan activities to complete modifications
Fill out work orders on paper or electronically, following configuration management, reliability and warranty requirements.
Report to supervisor progress being made and any issues encountered preventing completion of assigned tasks.
