Electrical Engineer - Green Energy Buildings - Seattle - 0205

Description:
Our client currently has a requirement for an Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience working as a Contractor and/or Designer on Building projects implementing green energy applications. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical engineering qualification and experience of working on construction sites.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver and manage projects in the following areas:

Defining and driving Electrical Installation project across all stages of the project life cycle
Knowledge of Electrical engineering, MEP, building services design, installations, coordination, and management skills.
Involved in reviewing designs and providing site supervision.
Design and preparation of electrical single line drawings, ELV services layouts, lighting small power, earthing, telephone television, fire alarm, CCTV and access control, cable schedule and load schedule.
Handled quantities take-off of all electrical equipment and material and preparation of technical specification.
Preferred management and organizational skills along with leadership skills to effectively provide technical specifications. Can work with the team to analyse problems and applies practical solutions.

Role/Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for verifying that the Electrical works contract is completed in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Ensure quality is maintained through on-site supervision of contractors works.
Meet regularly with the Contractor, Client and Design Team.
Monitor progress and agree actions with the Contractor if progress is unsatisfactory.
Review the quality of the works and recommend remedial works instructions when non-compliance occurs.
Maintain records and produce regular detailed reports on progress and quality matters.
Required skills/attributes

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Project Planning of Electrical Installation in a Building Design Project
Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings
Liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the electrical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical discipline’s influence on all others.
The ability to develop good working relationships is critical; and ability to effectively balance a number of tasks, work to deadlines, and produce quality deliverable
