Sr. Maintainability Engineer

Job Title: Senior Maintainability Engineer

Duration: 6 to 12 Month Contract Position

Location: Chula Vista, CA

Work Status: United States Citizen or Permanent Resident / Green Card Holder


Education: B.S. Degree Preferred in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.


Job Summary:

Provide maintainability engineering services in support of nacelle component design and substantiation.

Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each essential function and have education, skills and experience listed below.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities –

Plan, analyze and execute maintainability concepts for aircraft nacelle components and assemblies.

Document maintainability plans, concepts, and analyses in formal reports, present in program reviews.

Effectively use CATIA v5 in support of analysis and documentation of maintainability efforts.

MINIMUM Education and Experience
•Minimum of ABET approved Bachelor degree in aerospace, mechanical, civil or structural engineering. Masters preferred
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintainability of aircraft components
•Must be a US citizen or green card holder

Preferred Experience and Interpersonal Skills
•Experience in design or maintainability of nacelle components and mechanisms preferred
•Experience in design or maintainability of engine build-up preferred
•Strong interpersonal skills and a very high degree of collaboration at all levels required
•Demonstrated ability to multitask with strong task orientation and attention to critical details required
•Ability to coordinate with people in different project teams and functional roles required
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal required
•Be a collaborative, cooperative, creative, insightful, high energy self-directed and thoughtful considerate team player
•Ability to work independently, be insightful, resourceful and innovative and willing to do whatever work is assigned

Required Computer Skills
•Expertise with CATIA v5 – MIN 6000 hrs
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Required Except Diploma for BENG Degree or higher in Mech, Aero, Civil, or Structural.
