Design Engineer

Description:
•Experience in part/assembly design for consumer products.
•Solid understanding of strength of materials, material science, Design-for-Assembly, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing as related to product development.
•Experience in part/assembly/tooling fabrication methods from prototype through mass production manufacturing.
•Proficiency in 3D parametric modeling software is required (top-down/bottom-up modeling, 3D sketching, and configuration based models). SolidWorks experience is preferred.
•Experience in rapid prototyping and machine tool fabrication methods is desired
•Writing technical specifications, test procedures and project documentation
•Ability to execute complex verbal/written instructions for multiple project initiatives.
•Understanding of battery chemistries and ANSI or IEC standards is a plus.
