Test Engineer

Description:
Provide lab test support. Experience with conducting avionics hardware tests in a lab environment. Must be able to understand complex avionics systems in order to write, review, and run avionics test procedures. Experience troubleshooting HW and SW issues. Being able to work with stakeholders on performing tests and troubleshooting. Incudes being able to read HW drawings, and interconnect diagrams. Being able to coordinate with various teams as tests are run.

Duties: Perform test activities. Monitor and run avionics tests. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure test activities are successful. This includes repair activities, replacement, and calibration, scheduling, and shipping. Working with MS Office and Windchill to manage software and HW.

Required: 3 or more years of experience with avionics testing. Must have an understanding of HW and SW interfaces. Must be able to read and create drawings. Must be able to create, review, and run avionics test procedure. Must have a BS in Engineering, Math, or Physics.
Please note: The normal shift is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During up to 25% of year, during Testing, schedule may require some overtime and limited shift work. Candidate must be able to work this flexible schedule as needed.

Desired: Familiarity with the NASA programs. Familiarity with MS Office, Pro-E Creo, XML, and Linux. Familiar with varies reviews (PDR, CDR, etc)
