Hydraulic/Mechanical Design Engineers in WA State

Description:
Keltia Design Inc. is a technical services company providing training, engineering design, and a broad range of recruiting services to customers in the Aerospace industry on a permanent and contractual basis.

Our client designs and manufactures complex actuation systems for both small and large aircrafts. We are looking for aerospace designers that have designed actuators and valves and are familiar with hydraulics as it applies to aircraft applications.

Program and design responsibilities, including the accountability for and development of new design configurations, including interfacing with customers, writing proposals, planning and defining workload, leading the design team, interfacing with manufacturing, vendors, qualification test.

Drive engineering design and development process improvements. Lead design reviews and approve design and analyses.
Team member in marketing efforts and business development. Interface with customers, evaluate RFQ’s, write technical proposals, and develop NRE cost.

Requirements:
BSME, BSAE, w/ 5 or more years’ experience as follows:
Aerospace hydraulic component design. Primary, secondary, or utility components. Design and development of hydro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic components including actuators and flow-control valves.
Experience in component design layout and modeling, detail design and drafting per ASME Y14.5, analysis, and qualification test. Understanding of manufacturing and assembly methods.
Working knowledge of aircraft systems and the effects of hydraulic components on system operation and performance.
Knowledge of industry design practices to predict component reliability, working knowledge of reliability analysis, fault-tree analysis, FMEA, FMECA, durability analysis, damage tolerance analysis, and wear analysis.
Familiarity w/ stress analysis, FEA, fatigue analysis, non-linear strain analysis, tolerance stackups, performance analysis, weight analysis, vibration analysis, thermal analysis, corrosion control, and material and process control.
Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve complex technical problems and communicate in clear simple terms.
Self-motivated with above average drive and endurance.
