VP Product Engineering

Description:
PDS Tech Commercial Inc, is currently looking for VP of Product Engineering for our client in Redmond, WA.

Job Summary:
PDS Tech has an immediate opportunity for a VP Product Engineering. As a key leader of our clients growing Product Engineering team, you will collaborate with various technical teams in the company to bridge our market-defining Automotive LiDAR products from prototype to commercialization.
This position will be responsible for product design, process engineering and testing, MEMS development, product lifecycle, and some product supply chain. This role will continue to transform and drive engineering, innovation, process optimization and operational excellence for the growth and success of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Thought leader in the company that helps transform hard core R&D company into a global entity capable of industrializing and commercializing automotive grade products. Lead the productization of highly complex and innovative lidar hardware technology, transforming prototype into consistent, scalable, global commercial product. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver outstanding results. Drive innovation while working with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers with a vision for future products. In partnership with other members of the leadership team, develop business strategies, opportunities, and objectives for business growth and success. Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams, including product management, design, hardware and software engineering, quality assurance, and operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to direct the activities of the engineering function, while leading continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost and improve performance.
Automotive industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
Ability to meet condensed deadlines with accuracy and confidence.

Required Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering or related degree; Masters+ preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
5 years minimum experience leading a product engineering team, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years minimum in progressively responsible engineering leadership roles, in manufacturing companies

Pay Range: The pay range for this Washington-based role is $210,000 – $275,000. Exact compensation offers will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

You must reside within commuting distance to Redmond, WA. Relocation assistance for new employees to relocate to Seattle is available. This executive role will require onsite work and management of the team.

Pay Details: $210,000.00 to $275,000.00 PER YEAR
