Test Equipment Design Engineer

Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior Test Equipment Design Engineer/Architect with experience in Laser and Optical testing.This engineer will provide technical leadership and strategic direction in all matters relating to test. Interface with customer and third Interface with customer and third party vendors while developing test strategy when needed.
Define the product testing requirements by working with Systems Engineering in evaluation of the customer defined product spec requirements documents. Establish deliverables.
Help determine budgets and schedules that align with program needs. Work with production factories to develop testing infrastructure. Lead a small team.
Experienced with laser systems and optical components such as He-Ne, Yag, collimators, beam profilers, optical assembly, optical adhesives. Optical alignment and Zemax experience a plus.

Skills Required:
- Systems integration and test experience, test equipment setup, maintenance and fault isolation diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and/or software debug
- Experience with one or more of the following: GigE Vision, MIL-STD-1553, serial communications (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485), RS-170, Fibre Channel and Ethernet data bus interfaces
- Experience with laser systems and optical components such as He-Ne, Yag, collimators, beam profilers, optical assembly, optical adhesives.
- Experience architecting design equipment
- Experience leading a small team of engineers
- Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, reports and in conducting Test Readiness Reviews

Skills Preferred:
- Experience with military air or ground vehicle systems
- Experience working with military electronics, EO/IR cameras, thermal imaging or night vision technologies.
- Experience with optical alignment and Zemax
- Experience with NI products: LabWindows/CVI, TestStand
- Experience with C++, Python, Ada, Qt, C#, SQL, JOVIAL or MIL-STD 1750 assembly language
- Experience with VxWorks, INTEGRITY or other Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
- Experience with IAR Workbench, MULTI IDE, Tornado IDE, Visual Studio, Eclipse
- Experience with use of software configuration management (SCM) tools (Clearcase, Perforce, Git, Stash)
- Experience with web and database tools and technologies such as ASP.NET, SQL Server, MySQL, Java, X/HTML, XML, JavaScript and AJAX

Experience Required:
- Experience with laser systems and optical components such as He-Ne, Yag, collimators, beam profilers, optical assembly, optical adhesives.
- Experience architecting design equipment
- Experience leading a small team of engineers
