Job Description

Inspection Planner, Fort Worth, TX – JR-017619

• The Inspection Planner is responsible for generating “First Article Inspection” plans in CAMS/Visiprise, and / or other media as required and ensures alignment with applicable engineering design requirements and production planning.
• Reviews Engineering requirements and production planning to determine appropriate level of inspection and inspection points.
• Works effectively with engineers, supervisors, managers and production personnel to resolve inspection planning issues, achieve team objectives and promote quality principles.
• Writes and maintains first article inspection plans and inspection planning imbedded within production planning.
• Troubleshoots and corrects inspection planning issues within the existing systems.
• Prepares detail inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection, results including deviations from engineering specifications.
• BOM reconciliation and structure manufacturing BOM in Enovia. (experience preferred)
• Convert Fabrication plans from legacy designs into CAMS (Visiprise) Production.
• Final Check of planning MOB in Enovia and CAMS before release. (experience preferred)
• Writes updates and improves quality procedures as required.

Requirements:
• CATIA V4, V5. V6 experience is an added advantage.
• Experience with AS9100 requirements, inspection planning and techniques.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering design requirements and create inspection plans.
• Aerospace component experience in Aluminum, Steel, forgings and castings.
• Use of Inspection Equipment such as micrometer, caliper, height gage, V blocks, plug gages, vision system / Comparator.
• Experience reading drawings and operational sketches (Aerospace).

Skills:
• Experience with CATIA V5 / CATIA V6 and Enovia LCA (Preferred)
• Knowledge of reading engineering drawings / GD&T / AS9100 Reviews / Reports
• SAP CAMS/Visiprise (preferred)
• Aerospace Inspection planning and PLM data, SAP
• Good oral and written communication skills – English

Education: Associate degree or BS in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, degree Required

Years of Experience: Aerospace: 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering Analysis experience in the following areas: Aerospace focused on Quality operations, quality engineering, First article Inspection Reporting, Inspection plans, Update MBOM, interaction with personnel in engineering, manufacturing and quality. Able to independently work with little or no guidance.
