Description
This position is for aircraft dynamic loads, structural dynamics, specializing in landing gear analysis, including naval catapult and cable arrestment dynamics and airframe loads analysis.The successful candidate will create simulations of aircraft launching and landing on US aircraft carriers. Deterministic approach parameters will be utilized to envelope the various inputs and create useful structural design-to limit loads. The analyst will work closely with dynamic mechanical system designers to ensure that the landing gear/arrestment system will deploy and function properly as part of an integrated air system.
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:

Mechanical Engineering experience specializing in landing gear analysis;
• Proficient with MSC ADAMS for Finite Element Analysis of landing gear
• Proficient with US Navy aircraft carrier based aircraft structural certification
• Proficient with MSC NASTRAN
• Strong background in structural dynamic system analysis
Desired:

Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proficient with LANTAX MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred
