DOD secret clearance - Software Engineer Lead - South Carolina

Position Description
We are presently seeking a Senior Software Developer with responsibility for the maintenance of existing tools as needed, along with the development of new tools. This position will work in an agile development environment with employees maintaining an active role in driving projects.

Specialized skills for this position will include Microsoft SharePoint (especially leveraging web services), Python, Django Web Development Framework (or similar presentation frameworks), XML, AJAX, SQL or MySQL, HTML, CSS/jQuery/Javascript, and C# to support Cyber tool development and maintenance activities. These tools are used to promote the organization and analysis of security related information pertaining to end customers. Additional development activity for tools used by corporate staff will also be required.

· Self-leader, self-thinker, needs little direction, ability to work in a dynamic team environment, proven communication skills and client customer support.
· Strong written and oral skills.
· Willingness to explore new or unfamiliar technologies.
· Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and leveraging web services preferred.
· Experience with agile development methodologies preferred.
· Experience with DIACAP, Risk Management Framework, or NIST preferred (especially regarding policy compliance).
· Experience with XML and XML based standards preferred (especially security standards such as SCAP, XCCDF, OVAL, and OCIL). Knowledge of XML schema validation and namespaces, etc.
· Travel: Up to 10% is possible

Attributes/Skills Sought
· An understanding of the complete software life cycle.
· Ability to analyze customer requirements and translate them into a design.
· Demonstrated understanding of technical documents describing systems and processes, and demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to keep technical skills current by learning new languages, operating systems, hardware, tools, and technology.
· Relevant training in software design and development.
· Assist in software product evaluation.
· Provide time estimates for assigned tasks.
Qualifications

BA/BS in Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related discipline plus 8 to 12 years of experience. In lieu of formal education, at least 12-18 years of related experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

Secret clearance. Candidates that do not have a clearance will undergo a government background investigation and must meet the requirements for access to sensitive government information if selected for position.
Travel: 10%

Must possess a CompTIA Security + to start work
OS Certification/Approved Training completed within 180 days of hire
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with DIACAP and RMF in DHA a plus
Experience with Accreditation package management in eMASS a plus
Excellent customer service and organization skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
